In implementation of Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP dated February 5, 2025, of the Government on ensuring the national GDP growth target of 8% or higher in 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1635/QD-BCT dated June 5, 2025, officially launching the National Concentrated Promotion Program 2025 – Vietnam GrandSale 2025.
The program will run from June 14th to July 14th, 2025, nationwide, aiming to boost domestic consumption, support businesses in expanding their markets, increase retail sales revenue, and make a positive contribution to economic recovery amidst global economic uncertainties.
The Vietnam Grand Sale 2025, spearheaded by the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), will coordinate with relevant units within the Ministry; the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally-administered cities; industry associations; and the business community nationwide to implement a comprehensive set of communication activities, guidance, and support for businesses in carrying out promotional programs. Promotional activities will be organized simultaneously in both traditional and e-commerce formats, creating a strong ripple effect and reaching diverse customer groups. Businesses are free to participate without prior approval, having full autonomy to implement promotional content in a creative, attractive, and customer-oriented manner, with discounts potentially reaching up to 100% of the value of goods and services.
Besides proactive participation from businesses, the program also emphasizes transparency, honesty, and responsibility in promotional activities. Participating businesses must ensure the legitimate rights of consumers, comply with legal regulations, and fully implement administrative procedures as guided. Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade will closely coordinate to support businesses with information, administrative procedures, and supervision of program organization. The Market Management Department is tasked with inspecting and handling violations related to counterfeit goods, prohibited goods, and commercial fraud, ensuring a healthy competitive environment. At the same time, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy will promote online promotional activities through digital platforms, supporting businesses in enhancing their ability to reach consumers in the context of increasingly strong digital transformation.
Vietnam Grand Sale 2025 also particularly encourages the combination of promotional activities with trade fairs, exhibitions, product introductions, and regional cultural promotion at the local level to enhance the shopping experience, spread the value of Vietnamese products, and stimulate domestic tourism. Industry associations, local authorities, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade's media system will cooperate and support the widespread promotion of the program to the public and businesses.
With the broad participation of the business community and the coordinated efforts of state management agencies, Vietnam Grand Sale 2025 is expected to continue the success of previous years, creating a strong impetus for domestic consumption and affirming the role of domestic trade in achieving the socio-economic development goals set by the Government for 2025.
