On the afternoon of June 8, 2025, in Hanoi, the "Million Views Startup Program - Supporting 20 Million Young Entrepreneurs" officially launched, marking an important step in the effort to promote the entrepreneurial spirit in the field of e-commerce for young Vietnamese people.
The program is implemented by the Vietnam Youth Entrepreneurship Support Center (SYS Vietnam), in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper and TikTok. The Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX), Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) is also a partner in the program.
The event was attended by representatives from central government agencies, startup support organizations, leading experts in e-commerce and digital media, and strategic partners. The program also featured a large number of young content creators, KOLs, and MCNs actively working on the TikTok platform. Among them were members from the DAKE MCN, a young, creative, and ambitious community striving for sustainable growth.
Creativity alone is not enough; ethics and understanding the law must also be prioritized.
In the context of the booming e-commerce landscape, digital platforms have opened up unprecedented opportunities for young entrepreneurs. Smartphones can now become "mobile offices," "content production studios," and "online stores" for millions of individual businesses. The rise of social media-based business models, especially TikTok Shop, has created a new class of entrepreneurs: dynamic, creative, and constantly innovating.
However, opportunities always come with challenges. The rapid development of e-commerce also places high demands on adaptability, technological knowledge, content thinking, and especially business ethics in a volatile digital environment.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Director of the eComDX Center, emphasized: "To achieve sustainable development in e-commerce, in addition to creativity, young people need to pay special attention to ethics and compliance with the law." According to Mr. Tuan, business ethics is not only about avoiding wrongdoing but also about committing to transparency and honesty with customers, from product information, prices, return policies to service quality. Once trust is lost, even a potentially successful brand can collapse.
Along with ethics, compliance with the law is a fundamental element in building a fair and transparent e-commerce environment. Mr. Tuan particularly emphasized regulations on personal data protection, intellectual property, online advertising, and fair competition—issues often overlooked but crucial for maintaining brand reputation and long-term growth. He also warned that practices such as counterfeiting, online fraud, and unfair competition, while potentially yielding short-term gains, can seriously harm the market and the national image.
A space for learning, connecting, and practicing.
This is not just a training event, but also a learning, networking, and practice space specifically designed for creators who are entering or have already started their affiliate journey. Through hands-on activities, the program aims to enhance the digital business skills of the younger generation and foster a professional and humane e-commerce community.
Throughout the program, participants are guided through a series of intensive training activities, combining theory and practice. From assessing entry-level skills and creating high-converting short video content to selecting suitable products for affiliate marketing, and applying AI to scriptwriting and livestreaming, all are taught by a team of experienced instructors in the fields of e-commerce and digital creativity.
A highlight was the collaboration with Hanama, a high-end leather goods brand that is successfully developing its affiliate marketing model on TikTok. Representatives from Hanama directly shared their brand-building story in the digital environment and provided actual products for the trainees to use during the practical session. As a result, trainees not only learned theory but also experienced the entire content creation process related to specific products – from analyzing advantages and building communication messages to testing presentation formats suitable for the platform.
In the main practical session, participants were divided into small groups to complete a short video based on a self-created script. After filming and editing, the groups peer-reviewed each other's work – a form of active learning that broadens perspectives, fosters cross-learning, and encourages creative critique. Simultaneously, instructors provided specific feedback on content, visuals, presentation, and conversion potential – helping participants identify strengths and weaknesses and adjust their content strategies more effectively in the future.
At the event, representatives from eComDX urged the younger generation to become pioneers in building a strong, professional, and humane e-commerce community in Vietnam. They called on them to transform "Millions of Views" from mere display metrics into real value, making a practical contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.
"Vietnam's e-commerce sector is on a path of deep integration, and today's entrepreneurs, if they know how to harmoniously combine technology, innovation, and ethics, will be the key factors shaping the future of the digital economy," Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan emphasized at the event.
