Recently, the Vietnam Chemical Corporation (Vinachem) held a meeting to finalize the implementation plan for the Vinachem Agriculture Program. At the meeting, the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX) – under the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade – collaborated with Vinachem to advise and propose solutions for implementing the program, aligning it with the digital transformation and sustainable agricultural development orientation.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of Vietnam Chemical Corporation (Vinachem); Mr. Nguyen Van Luyen, Deputy General Director of Vinachem; representatives from Vinachem's functional departments; and experts from the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture and the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX). On behalf of eComDX, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho, Deputy Director of eComDX, attended and exchanged views at the meeting.

During the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the direction for building the Vinachem Agriculture Program (the program) towards promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and "greening" production. In this context, eComDX will provide consulting services for building the implementation model and propose digital transformation solutions for the program to ensure consistency and practical implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho, Deputy Director of the eComDX Center, suggested that the application of digital technology in the program implementation should be practical and suitable to the production conditions and needs of farmers. Accordingly, the solutions proposed should also be easily accessible, convenient for people to use, and effectively support production and business activities.
During the planning process, eComDX representatives proposed deploying digital platforms to support the program, including an e-portal and e-website solution. This integrated platform provides online information and services and serves as an interactive channel between businesses, management agencies, and the public. The e-portal can be used to publicize program information, provide technical guidance, share market information, and support connections between stakeholders in the agricultural value chain.
In addition, eComDX also proposed developing a website system for units within the Vinachem ecosystem to introduce products, services, production capacity, and support market connection activities. The websites are designed to be user-friendly, capable of integrating functions such as product catalogs, technical information, industry news, and management support tools. At the same time, this platform will contribute to providing farmers with practical information on pests and diseases, cropping seasons, and effective farming techniques suitable to their production conditions, thereby improving agricultural production efficiency.
At the meeting, representatives from various functional departments presented numerous opinions, proposals, and solutions aimed at developing an effective program implementation plan. Delegates also listened to many insights and suggestions from experts. All opinions expressed agreement with and support the Group's direction in promoting scientific and technological breakthroughs, digital transformation, and the "greening" of agriculture. In particular, eComDX, in collaboration with Vinachem, is realizing the green and digitalized agricultural direction through the application of technological solutions suitable to local conditions.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, General Director of Vietnam Chemical Corporation (Vinachem), assigned the Corporation's Business Planning Department to act as the focal point, coordinating with relevant units to further refine the program implementation plan in a practical, simple, and suitable manner for farmers. According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Tu, for the program to be effective, it needs the support of experts in the fields of fertilizers, agriculture, and related industries. Initially, the Corporation will maximize its internal resources, mobilizing a team of scientists and experts from Vinachem's key fertilizer units to provide farmers with advanced knowledge and technical solutions suitable to their farming practices.
eComDX's collaboration with Vinachem in developing and implementing the Vinachem Agriculture Program contributes to promoting the application of digital technology in agriculture, supporting improved production efficiency, and gradually moving towards sustainable agricultural development.
